Kathmandu: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has directed domestic airlines to adjust airfares and fuel surcharges following a reduction in aviation fuel prices by the Nepal Oil Corporation.
According to CAAN, the Nepal Oil Corporation decided on December 31, 2025, to reduce the price of aviation fuel by NPR 6 per liter. In line with this decision, airlines have been instructed to revise their fare structures and fuel surcharges accordingly.
The authority has requested that the revised fares and fuel surcharge be implemented starting January 2, 2026. The directive aims to ensure that passengers benefit from the reduced fuel costs.
The instruction was issued by Subash Kumar Mahat, Manager of the Air Transport Department of CAAN, emphasizing timely implementation in the interest of air travelers.
