Nepal Airlines Cancels Narita Flights Due to Technical Issues; Relief Flights Scheduled

Nepal Airlines has officially notified the public regarding the significant cancellation and subsequent rescheduling of its international service connecting Kathmandu and Narita, Japan. According to the official notice provided in dated April 30, 2026, Flight RA-433 from Kathmandu to Narita, originally scheduled for today, and Flight RA-434 from Narita to Kathmandu, scheduled for May 1, 2026, have both been cancelled. The national flag carrier cited "aircraft technical reason" as the primary cause for this disruption, which has necessitated a complete overhaul of the immediate flight schedule for this route. To minimize the impact on affected travellers, the airline has organized specialized relief flights operating under new flight numbers to ensure passengers reach their destinations safely.

The rescheduled departure from Kathmandu to Narita, now designated as flight RA 4333, is set to take off on May 1, 2026, at 23:30. Consequently, the return leg from Narita to Kathmandu has been renumbered as RA 4344 and is now scheduled to depart on May 2, 2026, at 11:00.
