KATHMANDU, Nepal The Airlines Operators Association of Nepal and the Aeronautical Society of Nepal have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at promoting a unified, safe, sustainable, and innovation-driven aviation sector in Nepal.
Under the agreement, both organizations will combine their expertise, knowledge, and professional resources to support the overall development, strengthening, and long-term growth of Nepal’s aviation industry.
The two organizations noted that the global aviation industry is rapidly evolving through digital transformation, automation, sustainability initiatives, data-driven decision-making, environmental responsibility, and the adoption of advanced technologies. They emphasized that Nepal’s aviation sector must also adapt to these emerging trends to remain competitive and prepared for future challenges.
AOAN stated that the partnership seeks to foster greater collaboration, industry-wide unity, and a shared vision among aviation stakeholders, enabling the sector to better respond to future opportunities and operational challenges.
The MoU is expected to bring together airlines, airports, aviation service providers, engineers, technical professionals, researchers, academics, students, and future aviation leaders under a common platform. The initiative will encourage the exchange of knowledge, experience, innovation, and technical expertise across the industry.
Industry leaders believe the partnership will lay the foundation for stronger cooperation, enhanced professional engagement, and sustainable long-term development within Nepal’s aviation sector.
