Nepal’s newest domestic carrier, Danfe Airlines, has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), marking a significant milestone toward launching commercial flight operations.

According to CAAN, the airline plans to operate ATR 72-600 turboprop aircraft. Under Nepal’s aviation regulations, an airline must import its aircraft within one year of obtaining the NOC. Failure to do so will result in the automatic cancellation of the certificate.

The next step for Danfe Airlines is to bring its aircraft into Nepal and complete the regulatory requirements for obtaining an Air Operator Certificate (AOC). This process includes aircraft inspections, demonstration flights, and operational certification by CAAN.

Once the AOC is granted, Danfe Airlines will be authorized to begin scheduled commercial operations. The company is aiming to complete all regulatory procedures and launch domestic services before the upcoming Dashain festival.

The entry of Danfe Airlines is expected to strengthen competition in Nepal’s domestic aviation market and provide passengers with additional travel options while supporting the country’s growing air transport sector
