Mustang Air helicopter carrying five people, including the pilot, has gone missing in the Langtang region of Rasuwa, Nepal.

According to Managing Director Ronan Lamichhane, the helicopter lost contact with authorities while en route, with five individuals onboard. “We have no further details at the moment. There were five people, including the pilot,” he said, adding that communication has been difficult due to the remote area lacking reliable telephone connectivity.

Sources at the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) reported that the helicopter has been out of contact since approximately 1:30 PM local time.

Authorities have yet to confirm the exact status or location of the aircraft. Further updates are expected as search and rescue efforts develop.
